Jan to June Box-office at Record Levels
With a huge line-up ahead

Box-office for the first six months of 2007 is running at the highest level on record, even eclipsing 2004, the peak moviegoing year. With a wide variety of titles in the top 10 year to date, there really has been something for everyone so far this year at the movies.

And with a phenomenal line-up ahead there is plenty more gas in the box-office tank, just some of the must see titles for the next few months include:

July - Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, The Simpson’s Movie

August - Die Hard 4.0, The Bourne Ultimatum, Ratatouille

September - Evan Almighty, Hairspray, Surf’s Up

And later in the year, The Kingdom, Fred Claus, Bee Movie, The Enchanted, The Golden Compass and American Gangster among many others.

For full details on all of these titles and many others have a look at our movie planner.

Cinema is ideally placed to extend the reach of both free to air and pay TV schedules - without clutter and with unrivalled impact.

  • Almost 50% of cinema visits are made by people watching less than 2 hours of TV a day

Connecting with moviegoers

Several advertisers have extended their campaigns from the screen literally into the hands of moviegoers in recent weeks.

Top Taste's new “Little Bites” are currently being exit sampled with family movies and the TAC’s "Make a Film, Make a Difference" promotion ran in cinema foyers to drive entries in the young film maker competition.

Virgin Atlantic's "Get Used to Feeling Posh” cinema activity that ran last year made the shortlist at the Cannes Media Lions in the Travel, Entertainment and Leisure category.
