Cinemarketing Rates

Cinemarketing allows advertisers to support their on-screen campaigns and build close relationships with their target market with attention grabbing in-foyer activity.

This concept is becoming increasingly popular with our advertisers, who are taking advantage of a wide range of imaginative and exciting promotional opportunities to capture the attention of moviegoers. 

An outline of opportunities available is detailed below, all costs quoted exclude staffing, set-up and production costs unless specified.

Interactive foyer activities

To add brand experience to a cinema campaign, a dedicated foyer area is available for your promotional team to demonstrate products and interact with cinemagoers.

Cost: from $630 per 3 hour session per location

 

Static foyer displays

Attention grabbing displays, positioned in high traffic foyer areas allow brands and products to be displayed to cinemagoers in a creative and imaginative way.

Display dimensions should not exceed 2.5 x 2.5 x 2.0m.

Cost: from $945 per week

 

Product sampling

Put your product directly into the hands of cinemagoers with highly-targeted in-foyer sampling activity, ideal to encourage product trial.  Sampling opportunities are available for products that neither conflict with nor impact on existing foyer sales activity.  All sampling teams are provided by the advertiser.

Cost: from $630* per 3 hour session per location

 

Special events

Exclusive private screenings for groups of 40 or more, as well as bulk ticket purchases, for staff incentives, competition prize winners etc. are available for purchase when  linked to an on-screen advertising campaign.

Cost: Quotes will be provided based on requirements.

 

Live in cinema

Create a memorable live ‘theatre’ event to complement your on-screen advertising.  This new concept catches audiences ‘off guard’, has high talkability and recall and generates significant PR opportunities.

Cost: from $3,000* per cinema per day, subject to requirements of the live activity.  Costs exclude scripting, provision of actors etc.

 

Car displays

Selected complexes have the capacity to accommodate a car display in-foyer providing an ideal showcase for any new car launch or promotion.  The display can also incorporate free-standing point-of-sale material and information flyers for cinemagoers.

Cost: from $6000* per week per location

 

Cinema seat cupholders

Advertiser’s branded inserts placed inside seat cupholders, located alongside all seats within the cinema auditoria, provide high product visibility and the opportunity for targeted call to action, traffic builder promotions.

2 Sessions daily: 10am to 4 pm or 4pm to 10 pm

Cost: from $1260 per session per location (staff not included in cost)

 

Branded seat backs

Feature your logo or promotional message on removable covers, made from a lightweight mesh material, placed on seat headrests. Provides a strong presence in the auditoria for advertisers and offers cinemagoers the opportunity to participate in competitions or call to action promotions.

2 Sessions daily: 10am to 4 pm or 4pm to 10 pm

Cost: from $1260 per session per location (staff not included in cost)

 

Candy bar tray branding

Cardboard die-cut trays, created for the convenience of cinemagoers, are available to advertisers for branding. Distributed in Candy Bars to package popcorn and drink purchases, the tray can also promote special offers and competitions on pack. Products advertised must be non competitive with candy bar suppliers.

Minimum quantity:  50,000 per selected exhibitor

Production deadline:  8 weeks from receipt of artwork

Cost: from $36 000 (inclusive of production, distribution & media)

 

Popcorn cartons or drink cups

Cinemagoers create the opportunity for an advertiser to carry a message through the cinema environment by advertising on side panels of popcorn cartons and drink cups purchased from the Candy Bar.

Minimum quantity: 50,000 per selected exhibitor

Production deadline: minimum 8 weeks from receipt of artwork

Cost: from $36 000 (inclusive of production, plate change, distribution & media)

 

Trade nights

Use the cinema environment to effectively launch your new screen advertising campaign to retailers, sales staff, distributors etc. with private cinema functions.  These can be arranged on a national or regional basis.

Exclusive private screenings can also be offered as prizes in cinema-related competitions.

Cost: cinema hire is available from $1800, inclusive of a movie, depending on the seating capacity of the venue.

 

Cinema staff branding

Branded apparel, such as caps, shirts etc. can be worn by front-of-house cinema staff to create foyer awareness for an advertiser.  Two shifts are available per day i.e. 10.30 am to 4.30 pm for daytime audiences and 4.30 pm to 10.30 pm for evening audiences

Cost: $600 per venue, maximum of 5 staff members can be used per shift per day
