Despite the drama genre quickly growing in popularity amongst youth audiences with 55% of all drama admissions delivered from the P14-39 demographic (+34% increase on 2022), it remains a highly effective genre for reaching high-value NEO audiences. Drama enthusiasts are +51% more likely to be NEOs and twice as likely to be Hyper-NEOs, highlighting the genre's power to engage with these influential consumer groups.

A captivating facet of the presentation emphasised cinema as a catalyst for cultural moments, with 2023’s cultural phenomenon’s Barbie and Barbenheimer both perfect example of how the combination of must-see content combined with the biggest and best screen on the planet creates marketing’s biggest media moments These films, both featuring historic themes but offering fully original content, have reignited a wave of audiences eagerly seeking the latest cinematic releases. The diverse variety of content showcased in the wake of Barbenheimer demonstrates that there is truly something for everyone.
