Boxing Day belongs to the big screen.
Jumanji: Open World and The Angry Birds Movie 3 arrive together this Boxing Day, giving families two new major releases to enjoy across the summer school holidays.
Jumanji: Open World reunites Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillan for the final instalment of their Jumanji trilogy. This time, the adventure turns the concept on its head as the game’s avatars enter the real world, bringing the chaos with them. After two hugely successful December releases, the combination of familiar faces and larger-than-life adventure makes Jumanji a natural pick for families this summer.

The Angry Birds Movie 3 brings Red, Chuck, Bomb and Silverback to the big screen, while expanding the flock with a new generation of characters. The third film introduces Red and Silver’s children into the story, adding a new family dynamic while dialing up the mischief and fast-paced fun the franchise is known for.
With Boxing Day marking the biggest day on the retail calendar, cinema becomes a natural part of a broader family day out. Nine in ten cinemagoers visit shopping centre based cinemas, putting moviegoing directly alongside shopping, dining and grocery trips.* After the film, the most common activities are eating a meal, shopping in retail stores and visiting grocery stores, creating a strong opportunity for retail, QSR and FMCG brands to connect with audiences while they are already out, spending and making a day of it.
