Introducing Christelle, one of the many faces of Val…
Alright, spill the tea: How did you find yourself in the advertising industry, and what’s been the best part of your journey at Val Morgan Cinema so far?
I got into advertising when I moved to Sydney about nine years ago. I started at a creative agency, then moved to BuzzFeed, and eventually found my way to Val Morgan. The best part has been the people, I love our team! We've worked on some really amazing campaigns and I'm so proud of what we've achieved as a team.
If your morning routine were an Olympic sport, what would your gold medal event be, and how would you describe your winning strategy?
I tend to do a bit of housework while I sip my coffee in the morning, so I would compare my morning routine to ice curling. It's a way for me to ease into the day before I hit the ground running when I'm at work.
If you could swap lives with any celebrity for a day who would it be and why?
I would swap lives with Beyonce! She's an absolute icon and I'd love to see what even a minute in her world as a superstar is like.
What’s the one snack or drink that powers you through the work day?
My constant go to drink at work is a peppermint tea. It's simple, refreshing and keeps me calm and focused.
If your professional growth had a fragrance, would it be a bold, invigorating scent like fresh coffee beans, a calming aroma like lavender, or something completely unexpected? Justify your choice.
I’d say something like eucalyptus. It’s fresh, and even though it’s native to Australia, it reminds me of growing up in San Francisco and walking through Golden Gate Park, where there was a scent of eucalyptus in the air and the nearby ocean breeze. Having lived in different countries and worked across various industries, I've enjoyed wherever the wind takes me, as it's always been an opportunity for learning and growth.
What does a perfect day off look like to you?
A perfect day off would start off with a nice breakfast outside in the fresh air and sun, followed by a massage or acupuncture to unwind. I feel so refreshed afterwards!
